im sure there is a simple solution
« on: July 16, 2008, 04:04:11 pm »
i picked up a free arcade machine the other day and all of the buttons were wired to a control panel much to my surprise. so i plugged it into my comp and all of the keys are working! unfortunately, they are not the MAME standard mappings. i am using a mame fx and cant figure out how to re map these buttons. the board is not an ipac or anything else i recognize. thanks.

the only thing thats gonna help us help you is a picture of what you are talking about.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Well, without knowing what kind of encoder it is, about the only thing I can tell you is to just remap your keys in MAME.

So, I guess that's a yes.
