Ugh, I never liked those things as a kid.  I always thought they were kinda creepy, and it was just an obstacle cutting into my arcade time.

Of course, the next time your father-in-law or someone rolls their eyes at your arcade cabinet collection, just point them to this video.  Suddenly you don't seem so geeky in comparison.   8)

And I thought my secret obession of wanting a whack-a-mole was odd. Those things really are creepy. Reminds me of going to Chuck E Cheeze's and staring at those lifeless monsters, then having them blare into life.

Yah.. going to stick to the arcade machines. heh.

Heh, I think it's awesome...if I had the space and so much money I didn't know what to do with (ha ha), it'd be neat :) Growing up, my mom always took me and my brother out to Showbiz on Friday nights, and even had a couple birthday parties there. I don't think they sat there lifeless in full view though, as soon as they got done playing, they drew the curtains. Then a guy (or girl I guess, since they didn't talk) in a Billy Bob Bear costume would come out, and you could get pictures with him. At least that's how I remember them doing it at the local one. Maybe Chuck E Cheeze did it differently (we didn't have one of those near me)

I absolutely loved the Rock-A-Fire explosion as a kid. It would be neat to have at least one of the smaller critters from the show.

At Chuckees, they didn't have curtains. And, in one room, they had The Beagles in a corner, and they just sat there when not playing. I didn't think they were tha weird, though. What did trip me out was that music video 'Rock-It'.

The "Pop, Lock and Drop It" one is really well done.  The song fits the change of characters.

Oh yea:

That is the weirdest thing I have seen.  I never went to showbiz, but I went to Captain Andy's and Chuck E. Cheese, but something tells me that wasn't the original song for that set.

I thought those were kinda spookey when I was a kid.  I always expected them to say something instead of sing there song...like they'd ask me how my pizza was or something.  *shrug*

I agree; much better than the corny shows I remember as a kid.  Other shows on youtube are pretty cool as well.
