Item expired. Taking the liberty of posting the pics here.

New custom oak cocktail arcade machine.  Machine opens to have 2 players sit side by side and play without standing or taking up tons of room.  Has a very nice Monsoon sound system which works very well as a jukebox with windows media player or itunes.

All sticks and buttons are Happ, so they have that sexy feel and are very durable (they are the same ones found in most arcade machines.)  I had been looking for years for a machine without the nasty black veneer and t-banding (man there is a lot of crap out there), so as a custom furniture builder, and network admin, I created my own.

Control panel is solid oak.  The top is a custom tempered smoked glass with no bezel... all oak trim and banding.  Finished with a minwax cherry to give a rich but neutral look.  Right joystick is set up as a 4 way for pacman/donkey kong type games, and left is standard 8 way.  Either can be changed by switching the limiter under the panel.

Monitor is new 19" LCD.  Track Ball works as the mouse with 2 buttons, and is great on centipede, marble madness and golden tee type games.  Oak drawer pulls out to reveal keyboard with 2 usb ports to plug in peripherals or additional joysticks to play 4+ player games like gauntlet or simpsons.

Side buttons are power for computer and monitor, and top ones are coins, pause, save, and load.  Everything is set up as USB to be easily upgraded.  Comes with remanufactured Sony Vaio P3 slimtop which is plenty of speed for games prior to 2002.  Take a look at the video at http://youtube.com/watch?v=22PWEUkVGEU

I will not ship this unit, local pickup only, but if you want to place a custom order, please email me and let me know what you are interested in.

Cheap copy if you ask me. Not to mention the bugger is wanting 1500 for it loaded with roms most likely.

it is a nice looking unit, maybe not as authentic since it isn't black, but it is more likely to be approved by a wife to be placed in a living room or something.

Nice looking cocktail. The CP slant looks pretty painfull though.

Each to there own but I dont know why anyone would build a cocktail and not have a CP for vertical games, I know many people have them set purely for horizontal but its beyond me.

I like a light grade on the CP, but yeah that thing is pretty steep.

Well, that's not a reason to clear-finish it. I mean, most electronic components are black. But yeah it looks like he did a great job. upright seems a little jaded on this here.

My original design had the slant of the cp at 12 degrees

As I kept trying different control designs, I thought 20 degrees was pretty comfortable.

Most of the people I have built for dont play head to head, but would rather have it in the corner of the room as a jukebox/multiplayer... having it only be vertical limits the amout of people who can play games like gauntlet and other 4 player games without taking up a huge amount of rec room space.  Usually the finish gets matched to the pool table.

I am so glad that Andy finally is selling a flushmount trackball (even if it is a 3") because routering out the wood panel to get the top mount in really sucks.  I got mine a few weeks ago and it is pretty nice. http://www.ultimarc.com/trackball.html
The USB adapter is pretty sweet too.

More comments or suggestions are welcome! Thanks Ummon!

Fair play buddy. I went for 10 degrees in the end as that what is comfortable to me after some play testing but what works for you, works for you.

Have you thought about adding a/two quick swap removable CPs for the end(s)? You could then easily hook one/them up if a game of DK or 1944 took your fancy  :)

Being that it sits in the corner of the room... it would not be practical, but definitely possible!  I have not had to build one that had it 3 or 4 sided yet.  There are plenty of those in those kits from dreamarcades.com or from gamecabinetsinc.com Those are pretty nice.  I guess I am not trying to build replicas, but semi-practical useable furniture!  Thanks!
