KLOV is down.  Not only is the database down (as it's been for a couple days off and on),  but now the forums are down as well...

Not a clue. I heard rumors that no one really runs the site, just a small collective with too little time and/or interest on their hands. I would love to pick it up. Got a few ideas to make the site more resilient to aging. But meh, whatever.

Does anyone have any contacts on the "inside" that could give us a clue on what's up? Would hate for the plug on such an extensive database be pulled with no word.

I've asked him if I could put together a team to update KLOV a couple times.  Two times ago he seemed open to the idea.  Since then he's not replied to any of my PM's.

I've had to actually work today (ok, maybe only part of the day)
Though it gave me a chance to catch up in other sections here at BYOAC, I hadn't been checking on the latest projects lately

I notice you have Rushing Heros listed in your gamelist, need anything for that? I've been sitting on a NOS kit and I don't even like football, lol.

Nope, don't need anything for it.  I picked up one of the many NOS kits floating around and made my own conversion with my son.  It was his first game project and he actually loves to play the game.  I'll keep it around until he tires of it, then will free up the slot for a real classic.

Yeah, I picked one up to use the board to test out jamma harnesses, no more need for it though

Can you even register for an account with KLOV anymore?  I remember I had to 'sneak in' by registering with some kind of cancer forum and then backing into KLOV forums...

It is not a straight-forward process. I had to ask and get a link that I could not find otherwise to get to the register page.

To tell the truth I don't even remember how I registered but it was a pain. In fact, I thought I had registered and tried it and it didn't work. A couple of months later, I was registered !?!?!?!?

Anyway, I miss it already....
