mame trouble

downloaded latest version( comand line vers) and installed with mala but i get error about direct draw cant display on display 1.
ive loaded latest drivers (onboard video) installed and  still samething.
motherboard is a asus p4s533-mx

cant find direct draw or d3d so put latest directx on, still same thing.

i will be transfering the video control to arcadevga 1 after ive got system i want it.

what am i missing? the older version of mame 0.99 work ok but want latest

got it working atlast but not 100%,
where it tells you about rom state and the joystick left/right to start is just white boxes where the txt should be.
and the screen is halfed diagonaly with the square txt at top half and game(part of it) at other part.

also it shows the control panel at bottom or side of image. so image aint full screen.

how do i ge rid of the txt and the left right so it goes straight to game, after i fix 1st prob

also i loaded the alien skin but it doesnt show any gfx just list and screen

Have a search in the software section, its a mame thing.
