cab nearly complete but where to start?
« on: July 06, 2008, 02:49:50 am »
nearly complete my 1st cab, cant go any further till i do pc, anyway its  a
 3gig p4 cpu
asus p4s433-mx motherboard
512 ddr2 mem
110 gb ide hd
arcade vga 1
21" scart tv and mamescart

ok i tryed install tiny xp but threw up error when rebooted, something about boot.ini so ive scrapped that one and going for full install and will take stuff out.

i have to use the mb on board video at moment so i can get everything working before i f8 windows and install unltmarc video drivers in safe mode, do i need to switch the rig to arcade to do this?

my point is, ive a jpac, do i need it connected to the arcade to configure it (do i need to config it or is it all ready a pre set)
should i do all the windows hiding 1st before i install everything?

i want to separate all the roms (get rid of ones i dont want ) whats best way to do this? i dont want to go through 8000+ roms and find out what they are and separate them, i want to split between vertical, horisontal and driving/shooting games and use them on my other 2 machines(in progress)

i also tryed to config daphne but kept saying it needed original cds, would a older version of daph work without this message
