Problems with LuminAudio - LedWiz
« on: July 03, 2008, 09:23:42 pm »
Howdy all... I picked up 2 LEDWiz's and 16 of the Electric Ice buttons and RGB LEDs from GGG - Totally awesome...  I've got 8 of the buttons and 1 LedWiz in, and I'm using GameEx w/ HeadKaze's amazing LED/LCD plugin.  I've gotten everything to work so far, except LuminAudio.  The LuminAudio app correctly identifies my soundcard, I highlight the blue '1' for my first LedWiz, and click 'Start Output'... my buttons do an initial flash of blue, but that is it.  I've checked my mixer, and tried different sound apps (VLC, Windows Media Player, etc...), but no buttons ever light up.  I even disabled the motherboard's onboard AC97 and tried an older PCI SB Live... Music plays fine, but LuminAudio doesn't seem to be able to pick up the audio.

Any tips?

Thanks, and happy 4th!

Oh yes, I should probably also add that the Music Attract of the LED/LCD plugin isn't working either.. perhaps there is something bigger wrong...

Run the SndVol32 application (Start->Run enter "SndVol32" then enter).

Once the volume control app comes up select Options->Properties then select the "Recording" radio button.

Now you have to select your input device as "Stereo Mix" or "Mix Out" something along those lines. Have LuminAudio running along with some music playing while you adjust the volume controls to get the right levels.
