How do I display a pic of my cab? HELP
« on: June 05, 2003, 03:04:06 am »
OK as some of you will no doubt be aware my cabinet arrived last week and I tried to post a pic. Being a complete computer idiot I seem to have stuffed up somehow. Can someone please tell me how to get the pic off a CD ROM and on to the forum? Explain it to me like I'm retarded lol.

When you start a post or reply, under the box where you type there is a check box for:
Notify of replies
Disable smiles
Underneath those, there is Attach.  to the right, a box to type, with a browse button to the right.  Click that and go to your cdrom, find the pic, click open and bobs your uncle.

hope it helps

Second way:
Get a web service provider (most ISP let you do web pages).  The WSP must allow image links from the "outside".  Upload your image to somplace on the web site, and test it by going there with your browser.  Cut-n-paste the address from the address box into the message you are writing, and just to be save, wrap the address with
Code: [Select]
to make sure the BYOAC message board knows it's an image link.  It's a little harder to start with, but great once you get the hang of it, and saves the BYOAC server a little bit of throughput.

example:
Code: [Select]
results in:

Yes, I thought "control spheres" myself, as no doubt the rest of you did.
You weren't thinking of calling them track-boobs were you dude?
