A couple of months ago I picked up an old Top Gun flight stick at a thrift store. Unfortunately, it was gameport and not USB. I actually really liked the build quality and feel of it compared to my Microsoft Sidewinder 2 flightstick (used for Afterburner, Star Wars Arcade, Thunderblade, etc.) so I set out looking for an adapter.
I found this one on ebay really cheap:
