Like is there a way to use a coin\play system for the jukebox.

i want to use my cabinet as a jukebox too and it would be cool to rig it up to use coins for plays.  Any software that does this?

Most jukebox software allows this.  It connects the same as any other button to a designate keystroke.  Most software let's you specify how many credits each coin gives.

The most popular software around right now is VMJ.  It's still in beta, but works well, has nice features, and most importantly is stable.  The programmer is giving free software updates after you regiser.

Arcade Jukebox (http://home.att.net/~mark.schwartz/)  and DOSCab/WinCab Jukebox (http://webpages.charter.net/celamantia/jukebox/) also support this feature.

There's an old one out there that most people seem to forget about. I think it's just called Arcade Jukebox. Last time I checked it was at version7. It reads tags, accepts coins, and controls with a couple buttons. It's VERY simple to set up, too. If I add MP3's to my MAME machine I'll probably use this program. It was designed with MAME machines in mind. Not so much for dedicated jukeboxes (though it should do the job just fine).

I used that one for a while, but found it to be unusable once you get above 100 or so songs.  Since it only displays about 16 songs at a time, it takes forever to get from one side to the other.  Get 100 CD's on there and it's an all day project to pick music.  Otherwise it is a good program.
