Power-up scheme needed
« on: June 26, 2008, 06:36:02 am »
I want to make a nice power-up button for my arcade. I want to make it with a lit pushbutton. It needs to do the following:

When the machine is off the light is on
Press the button short for the start up sequence. The light goes out. It needs a signal to a MacMini to power up, and it has to switch power onto a monitor and amplifier.
Press the button again (best is when it is longer than 5 seconds) to send a shutdown signal to the MacMini, and shut down the screen and monitor power directly. The led in the button lights up again.
Does anyone know an electric scheme for something like this?
