Elo Touchscreen question
« on: June 25, 2008, 05:16:33 pm »
I just finished my Juke and everything works great, I have a 15" elo touchscreen (the ebay one everyone here seems to have). I had a question though, If I leave it alone long enough the monitor shuts down in sort of a screen saver type mode, after that I lose the touch functionality of the monitor... is this due to an incorrect driver? Or is this something else?

i beleive i read you need to disable the sleep mode for this model, since you need a keyboard or another mouse to wake it.

can't recall where i read that, a quick search of the manual doesn't turn that up.

Check in your power managment settings in widnows and make sure it's not set to turn the screen off. that should resolve your issue.

Is that the case with all of them (ELO touch screens?)?  That kinda sucks, it would be nice to have the thing go into sleep mode and be wake-able by touch.

this is from the readme in their drive package, which is universal for quite a few models.

Quote
For Windows XP:
Touch may not wake the system when in Stand-by power save mode. Move the mouse
or press a key on the keyboard to return from Stand-by mode.
Disable Stand-by mode in the Power Management control panel to avoid this
issue when the USB touchscreen is your only input device.

Thank you very much... it's all good now.
