Sound and controller issues
« on: June 28, 2008, 03:15:20 am »
Two questions I'm afraid. (Thought it best not to make two topics)

#1

I'm having a problem with my PC sound when I exit MaLa. I'm not using MaLa on a dedicated cab. So when I exit MaLa I want to be able to use my PC as normal. The problem is that the PC sound is completely disable upon exiting MaLa. I can't get any sound through Media Player, or on YouTube... nothing. But the sound works fine if I start MaLa back up.

My stand alone control panel has 2x U360's built in. However, when I connect my panel to the PC the Ultra Stiks are not the default choice of joystick by MaLa. I always have a Playstation 2 gamepad attached to my PC through USB adaptor. I'm a huge FFXI fan and so I the pad is a necessity. But in order to use MaLa I have to physically unplug the gamepad from the PC before the 360s become active.

It seems that the U360s need to be in 1st and 2nd on the list of game devices in within Windows. If the gamepad is attached then this always sits at the top of the list and so MaLa uses that one. Is there any way around this?
