Wallbox ?????????????

Guys,
I want to build a wallbox/jukebox and about a 1000 questions before I even start.
This will be my first project so please bear with me.
In the wallbox I want to mount an amplifier and equaliser/subwoofer/ PC and lcd screen.
I already have external speakers.
Is it best to leave the PC in its case or just mount the components-the case is fairly large.
What software do I need besides the Jukebox software-all this thing will do is play music so I want to boot directly into the jukebox software.
I will load my entire CD Collection onto the PC.
Do I need to have an internet connection-ideally I want to be able to see Album COVERS while searching for music.
I have a lot more to ask so if anyone has built one of these can you post some pics and any and all advice.

I would think leaving the components in the case would end up making your box to large to be a wallbox. As far as the software, SKJukebox is one of many great ones. There is also a program called Tag & Rename that will search amazon, pull all the info for any cd you have, and rename your mp3's into whatever format you want. You can simply put a shortcut to whatever your jukebox software is into your windows startup folder and that will take care of your boot issues. If you want more details, just shoot me a pm and I will answer any and all questions I can.

You need to decide what interface you are going with. Buttons or touchscreen, that will really shape your decision. You also need to think about how much music you are going to be putting on the juke. Some of the software is geared more for singles and others for albums.

At this stage my preference is for a touchscreen.
I also have a lot of CDs so want software that is geared towards albums.
I also want to be able to use a remote control somehow to fast forward songs etc.

That was an awsome build but it wasn't touchscreen. I think he used DOSCAB for his juke software on that.

If I cant get a touchscreen monitor cheap enough wnat is the alternative.
Use an LCD with a keypad or something altogether different

You could get an LCD and add a touchscreen kit.

In all reality..... that's all a "touchscreen monitor" is.

Or as you said, go with the LCD and keypad/buttons.

Here is my big ol' Playmate wallbox, bought it to put a monitor in but loved the rotating cards, so fitted a lcd instead.
