MaLa and Mame options not saving
« on: June 16, 2008, 05:47:32 pm »
I am using MaLa v.1.04 on Windows XP SP2.  Mame version 0.125

Everything works fine, except, when I go into the config menus in MaLa and attempt to turn off the warning screen and verification screens, MaLa doesn't save my settings on exiting the dialog.  Upon returning, the toggles have reset.  I should note that other configuration options (not in the Mame config dialog) like directory locations and ctrl setups do save properly.

I imagine that I can set these options easily enough in the command line portion of the launch, but I'd love to know why it isn't saving my configuration.

Any ideas?  Let me know if you need more information.

That is funny... ;)

I recently mentioned that is passing on another thread related to another issue

..anyway the answer is you may have to edit mame.ini manually for some options as things have changed since that mame config gui window was created.

Excellent.  Thanks.

There's also a place to enter command line commands that may work.  I'll have to try it when I get home.
