WTB: PCI SATA CARD
« on: June 14, 2008, 01:56:40 pm »
I am hoping someong may happen to have a regular PCI sata controller card, as I ended up with a sata hd when I stopped by tiger direct. I went to the couter and told the guy I wanted a 500gb IDE hd and he said he would send it to register 3, they dont let you handle anything locked up. (I was in Miami) now I have a HD I cannot use in my dell and I am not driving 300 miles to swap out.

Any help would be appreciated.

You could call them and try to persuade them to fix the deal.

Newegg sells some pretty cheap ones too. Like $12 or so. I've had reasonable success with a $15 Syba (or was it Rosewill?) card that's recognized in Linux too.
