Building a cocktail cabinet
« on: June 08, 2008, 12:00:24 am »
I want to build a cocktail cabinet after having built a stand up. I plan on buying a pre-built cabinet from arcadedepot. I'm going to keep this as a traditional cocktail and will run GameEx as I do with my stand-up. How are games rotated when player are across from one another rather than next to one another like my standup? Is this something controlled by the FE? Also, what are my game choices limited to when playing a cocktail cab? The PC I'm going to use is an older 900 mhz machine with a 20 GB HD so limiting some of the games will be fine. Thanks in advance for advice!

I think mame has settings for cocktail mode, as well as some front ends. You aren't limited if you go all out and do 3 control panels like some of these...You actually have the best of both worlds...

There are sooo many. Look at all of the examples here...
