Friday Night Chat
« on: June 06, 2008, 05:34:55 pm »
I know ArcadeControls has a chat site and this isn't meant to compete or replace that by no means...

I am a moderator at a HomeTheater site and every Friday we have a chat session, it's very informal and anything from people just saying hiya and getting to know the people they see on the forums, to questions about screens, projectors, audio... well you get the idea.

Anyway I am always there Friday nights starting at 8PM, if anyone wants to drop in and say hi and talk arcades that would be great!  I always like meeting new people in more of a 'real time' scenario.

Again, this isn't any type of promo or anything like that or taking away from AC's chat, it's just where I am on Fridays. :)

Get a girlfriend.

I thought that was the reason for a 8pm Friday night chat room.

Everyone else online at that hour on a Friday night is searching for porn.

Already have a wife, don't think she would appreciate the girlfriend idea but I'll pick one up and if the wifey complains I'll just tell her it was pinballjim's idea.  :P

bad idea, even your wife knows that no one listens to pinballjim

I'd join ya but that would cut heavily into my drinking time.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

The wife is actually pretty cool, she likes the arcade and projector setup... and when she thinks I'm on the compter too much she prances around nakie as a hint >:D

it's great to have someone so supportive, and even when the support runs out they're fun to be around

Maybe it's the Scotch, but not sure if that was a compliment or not ;)

Anyway, it's fun... you can wait for a forum response and constantly hit refresh ( and we all know some of you do that ;) ) or actually talk to someone.

Chat is open... we do this every Friday and it's very informal.  Saint was even in there the one night!

Anyway, It's a nice way to say hi in more of a real time scenario and usually lots of good topics get discussed and questions answered.  My area of expertise is with Home Theater and screens... I can show a person how to make a screen that rivals a several thousand dollar commercial screen, but also I'm always up for a conversation about arcades!  Last week the topic seemed to center on high end HT speaker systems- but there is no formal format and any topic is okay.

If anyone is in the Albany NY area, pop in, I'd like to discuss a local arcade meet sometime.  If we have enough interested we can set something up and announce it in here. :)
