Need review of arcade render
« on: June 04, 2008, 03:53:42 am »
Hi guys. I Would like a review on the side art and marque for my arcade machine. And yes I know that some of the textures look a little funny on the 3D model (My skills with maya are less than perfect  :P ). Any and all help is greatly apprecieated.

If you really plan to put its 2 fight controls (joystick+6 buttons) like you drawed, you should shrink the tray and have it neat between the side pannels. It also hovers now. The cabinet seems pretty wide. I was able to put 2 joysticks+2x6 buttons and a trackbal into the 70cm of my cab and still have plenty of room to play comfortable.

I'd say leave it a touch wider.  A lot of people try to squeeze a fighter layout into 24" or so and its just annoying trying to play Street Fighter like that.  I'm not even a big guy and on a 24" CP it seems I end up bumping elbows with whoever I play with, even if im 1p or 2p.

My CP is 32" and gives a comfortable amount of room between the two players.  It looks like yours would probably be similar in scale.

I'm loving the Darkstalkers art.  I just got a Vampire Savior board last week.  I was actually considering coming up with some side art or a CPO with Vampire art.  Gotta have dat Sasquatch and Hsien-Ko!

Well the front isnt completely to scale. Is is a bit wider than the real thing. Im just looking for feed back on art and color choice for now. If you want to know the cp is 38 inches wide and the arcade machine is 30 inches wide. My skillz with the art tool did make things come out a little strange. Like the floating cp and and extra wide cabinet. So some reasone the texturing got distorted when I tried to scale it that way ???
