Poll: New Frontend Forum? (poll locked)

It seen there are more more develophers creating their own frontends, and recently two of them (my self includning, but not officiel annonced). I do love when new frontend, plugins is comming as long it's fun to developing them.

So many FE threads might seen to overhelp the software forum. So I think it should split it into two forums:

Software Frontends (All frontend questions, plugins and releases and frontend help) [moving all frontend threads into this forum]
Software Utilities (mame help, emulator help, rom utilities, viewers, wrappers, game patches and etc) [all other help]

I do NOT think a dedicated forum (apart if it shoud been a sub forum under the new forum) for example MALA, but all frontend authors & plugins developers are welcome.

Lots of overlap between the two.  Biggest is mameUI, is it a FE question or a mame question?  Depends on the question, and the person asking probably doesn't know (that's why the question is being asked).  Others include setting up FE A for emulator B; is it a FE question, or an emulator Q?  Again, depends on the Q.  What about wrappers vs plug-ins vs scripts?  And utilities that help FEs but can be used other cases?

And, hate to say it, I visit mostly two forums here, main and software.  If FEs are separated, I doubt I'll read it that much (as I don't use FE's so can't help much there), even though the question might be a mame question that I can help.

IMO, the software forum is just about the right size, and has some space to grow.

The software board isn't so busy that it needs a split. If the questions were being pushed down off the front page quickly, maybe, but that isn't the case.

I will think about having a dedicated English Forum (here or eleswhere) for MaLa down the track...just not a priority right now. I am focused on sifting through the MaLa source code right now

That was the reason I wrote this poll. But I diddent think it should been MaLa only. But also for AtomicFE, Mamewah, GameEX example.

Not lately.  Have been in the recent past. MaLa seems to be the prominent fe here at AC and a dedicated forum I don't think could hurt. However, SF's idea may be better. I'm for it. Things can always be re-condensed.

I think Mala seems promiment here, because he doesn't have his own official English support forum elsewhere.

Mamewah, gameEx and AtomicFE have their own officiel support forums , so most of the question goes on that forums not here.

Yep that's what I was thinking aswell.

I voted no, I don't think we need a dedicated forum for FE's. But I think MaLa does need an English forum somewhere which I'm sure loadman will sort out one of these days.

But instead Loadman actuelly finally got it own support forum for MaLa. Other FE developers seen was ok doing that, becaues they actuelly have a english forum on thier homepage.

This thread can actuelly lock too, but not needed to do that.

Anyone one with a related product who wants a support forum can have one just by asking, as I consider those a separate entity from the general discussion forums.
