Alien Syndrome ROM swap, locations?
« on: June 02, 2008, 04:28:49 pm »
I'm attempting to bring a weathered Alien Syndrome board back to life. So far I have given it a new CPU to replace the FD chip and many new caps to replace the ones that have been sheared off. Now it's time to replace the four ROMS: epr10806, 10807, 10808, 10809.

The problem: the ROMS on my board are hand numbered and none of them start with epr or anything similar.

Could anyone out there send a picture of their ROM board with the EPR numbers visible? Or send a text list of locations, eg A7, B2, etc...
Nothing is like stepping back, looking at your games, and thinking 'wow, I've done this, and I have these!'

I know next-to-nothing about ROM boards..  If mine ever dies, I'm SOL..  But if/when I get a chance, I'll see if I can get some decent pics.

No promise on timeline, though..  The fam's keeping me hopping...  :)

Thanx.

can you dump the program roms you have incase they're a set MAME doesn't recognize?  (it will also make it easier for me to tell you which roms to replace each with from the unprotected set)

(there should be 6 program roms, all 6 may need to be replaced with roms from an unprotected set depending on your board / revision)
