Noob question on Coin/Free Play
« on: June 02, 2003, 01:27:54 pm »
hey gang,

no flames please....I just decided to build a mame cabinet about 2 weeks ago and have one lingering question.

As of now, my cabinet will NOT have a coin-slot.  Will I need to have a 'free-play' button, or can I use my controller board for this?  (I am getting a slikstik since this is my first cab.  I will build my own for my next one).

I imagine that it's as simple as mapping one of the buttons on the controller board.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes. All you do is go into Mame press tab to set your controls for and then map something to a coin button. But, I think the slikstick already has coin buttons anyway.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.
