Playing neogeo...
« on: May 31, 2008, 10:17:49 pm »
Hello all,

I am in the planning phase of two candy cabs, one in a neo geo layout, and one a 6 button. I have run into an interesting question. I have never playing KOF at the arcade, but have played the 3 and 2 button neo geo games. How are you suppose to place your fingers on the 4 button control layout? Are you suppose to use your thumb?

Also, does the hori USB ps3 sticks work on the computer?

You should use the fingers that you are more comfortable with or the fingers which you can perform better with.   Some people -myself included- cannot move the "pinky" finger as fast or as comfortably as the thumb so we use the thumb and three fingers.

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

I use all my fingers, not the thumb. I'm a guitar player, so using my pinky isn't a problem.

Your pointer and index fingers are the same thing.  Your C button finger is commonly referred to as the ring finger.

in my defense I typed that at 1 in the morning, but yeah I meant ring finger, like the /\/ | \/\ song.
