Hey everyone,

I really like the look of the blue Seimitsu  bubble tops.  A few years ago, I bought a Slikstik illuminated balltop joystick.  I like it fine but I hate the fact that they only came in opaque.  When the Leds are off it would stand out like a sore thumb next to my translucent blue buttons, trackball and tron joystick.  I even dyed the Slikstik balltop blue with boiling clothing dye to give it a blue tint.  Again, it looks fine but I would really like to replace it with a Seimitsu bubbletop.

My problem is with the way I have my CP setup, it would be very hard to replace the whole joystick.  Even just replacing the base or the shaft would be difficult.  I was wondering if anyone knew if the Seimitsu bubble top would just fit right onto the Slikstik shaft.  If it can't, is there a way to modify the Seimitsu's hole and thread to get it to do so.  If anyone does that kind of work I would be happy to pay for it.

The slikstik ball top's hole measures a 1/2 inch in diameter.  Thank you for the help.

I imagine so. I know some Neo-Geo sticks fit Sanwa ball-tops.

Not sure. They will match the Sanwas though.
