MameMarquees.com Question
« on: May 24, 2008, 03:44:52 pm »
So I'm just about ready to order all of my artwork through MameMarquees, but I had a question concerning the dimensions of my control panel.  I have a slightly curved CP at the front (a la Neon Mame, for example), but the artwork I'm sending is perfectly square.  I don't have a big problem with cutting off the bottom corners of the artwork, being that it's necessary, but what's the best way to size the artwork down to the exact size of my CP?  A sander?

As for MameMarquees, what should I write in the e-mail to them requesting custom artwork?  Just the dimensions of the artwork, or should I include the files themselves, plus my shipping address, etc., etc.?  Thanks.

Once the artwork is printed I would cut the artwork around the curve using a "surgical blade" I think you "yanks" call it an exacto knife? Just make sure your square artwork is sent the full width of the panel at its widest point.
Just the dimensions of the artwork, or should I include the files themselves, plus my shipping address, etc., etc.?  Thanks.
All of the above

If I'm getting it with the Lexan cover will it still cut with the exacto knife/surgical blade?

The overlay, yes...you can still cut it with an exacto knife.  The lexan -- you'll probably want to mount on the control panel and route with a flush trim bit or a roundover or some such.
