Great in a bar right until someone knocks it over.

I doubt it would knock over very easy. It's not real tall in relation to how wide it is, and that monitor is probably heavy enough to weigh it down. :) I like it...makes for a unique looking arcade game.

Looks neeto, but just wait for a big gorilla to break in and throw it at a hammer wielding plumber!

I wonder how they got the bezel to curve like that? Looks pretty good.

Atari made a Pong in a barrel. Wonder if thats what this was. Kind of a shame if so, because it's an unusual find.

I don't think this was a Barrel Pong. Found a pic of the original Barrel pong:

Pretty cool concept though. I think the execution could be a little better, but neat nontheless.

Maybe... I thought they made some from full sized wine barrels like the one in the original posters' pic, but stopped because they fell apart from being moved. I could be mistaken.

There's something about this close-up that makes me think the barrel might not be real wood. Is it just me?

Maybe it's me but I'm not feeling it... something about the CPs not meshing with the rest of the thing although I'm not sure how to avoid what it ended up as if you are going to be making an arcade out of a barrel.

Pure lazyness, not matching the control panels to the overall look. I also think that's the monitor glass directly visible/touchable (hence why it's nicely curved). One spilled drink, goodbye monitor!
NO MORE!!

This was made by one of the members of AussieArcade.com.au about a year ago. As I recall, its primary use was for Donkey Kong, hence the theme.

I applaud anyone who tries to do something new/different and I like the idea of this, but I agree the CP's should have matched the barrel.

I'm not sure I like the colours of the buttons (I would have gone with all black or all red) but nice idea...

Those buttons are in an "Asteroids" configuration - I wonder if its MAME'd also.
