Original + Mame : is it possible ?

Hi guys,

I'm just a newbie here.
Tomorrow i receive my 1 cabinet, it's an original Neo-Geo, with 3 different games. I really would like to work the cabinet 2 ways.

1)In the original state with the original games that come along
2)With Mame

Is it possible ? Can i just add a PC in the cabinet and make it work in original state or Mame state. Has anyone ever done this ?
"Why i want to do this ?", because i want to preserve the original state of the cabinet (and play all the other Mame roms ofcourse...)

I thought about a second powersource and a switch to select the wanted mode.
Will i have any problems with the controls, lights, ...
Plz help me out !

(I'm just in the planning fase, hehe)

I still don't see why you want to do it? I just took out my boards and put them in an Anti-static bag so if I need to... one day I can put it back in. If you need a PCB anti-static bag I have a ton of extras.

Cause some games aren't emulated yet... and others aren't emulated perfectly.

Neo-Geo Games? I thought ALMOST all of them were emulated... with few exceptions.

Because you can!  And it's cool.  I will be doing that with my double dragon II cab.  I am going to convert it to a vertical cab for my 1942 board and have an older pc in it for other vertical games.

in all reality, the mamed versions are only 99% complete. there is a different feeling to turning on an authentic arcade, thats the reason that i have 1 mame machine but 11 arcade machines, allthough they are all mamed.

Hmmm... I need help with my color scheme... my roof is a gray/black... I am thinking of using red letters?
