« on: May 10, 2008, 12:30:08 am »
i saw an empty cabinet today that i almost picked up, i dont know what it was originally, but it was most recently an arkanoid game.  please excuse my crude drawing, but the side was shaped something like this:

does anyone know what this cabinet is?

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

To me it looks like a Centuri cabinet. (Or was the notch more extreme?)
Here's my Track and Field that became a Double Dribble that became my MAME cab.

This is my "Jail Break"  the used to be a Super Pac-Man, before it was converted.  It will be Mame in a year or so.

If the monitor is on a very distinct "stalk" its a Xenophobe. Cool cab, but you're limited in monitor size if you don't want to hack it up.

I just got a Neo Geo mini (commonly called a Gold). Kind of fits your profile, but its like a 3/4 sized cabinet. Picked it up for a buddy, who got another project so it came back to me.

the notch was much more extreme than in those examples...i should have taken a picture, but i just didn't think about it.  it was turned around backwards and hard to get to to look at it closely, i was hoping to figure out what it was so i can look at pics online.  i can get the cabinet for $20..i'll have a hard time convincing my wife, but i think ican do it.  i just don't know if it is worth getting or not.
