PS3 audio problem - optical + rca = impossible?
« on: May 09, 2008, 08:24:40 pm »
Got a PS3 a few days ago and have been trying to get it all set up.  I'm having a problem getting the audio to work properly.  I can't seem to have signals working through both the optical connection and the rca cables.   When one type is set up the other won't work.

I did a little searching online and found that there is indeed a problem with running audio on HDMI and optical but couldn't find any info regarding rca cables.  This is a pretty major problem, in my opinion, if only one audio option is available at any given time.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Nope.  Spoke too soon.  It looks like there can only be one audio output selected at a time.  What a pain in the ass.
