Gameboy Micro faceplates....can't find any

I just picked up a GBA Micro at a pawn shop for $30 and it only has one faceplate (and a dead pixel), but I'd like a backup in case this somehow gets scratched.

Since they phased out the Micro (GBA in general), it's impossible to find replacement face plates.

Other than straight from Nintendo, my searches are coming up nill.

Anyone know of a site I'm not finding?

I too have a Micro and would like to get some additional faceplates for it.  Unfortunately the search for me, so far, has been fruitless...

I saw a pack of 3 or 5 a while back at gamestop or something.  They were like pelican brand or something.  As soon as I had the loot to buy em they were gone

I bought a second Micro for $50 from Mal-Wart a while ago.  I'm still bummed that a retro NES controller (US version) faceplate was never produced. 

I love both my Micros.  It's the only handheld Nintendo system that you can play secretly in public.  People think you have a cell phone and that you're texting or something.

But I guess the Micro is dead.

That's why I bought it. My SP2 is great and all, but it still looks like a toy.

The Micro looks sleek and elegant. Very high-tech.

I have a Micro as well and while I loved the Mini Gameboy idea, I think its a shoddy product. I bought it when it first came out, about 6 months later the top right shoulder button just stopped working for no reason. I keep it well taken care of, like not dropping it and keeping it away from dirt and dust. But that button refused to work. Luckily my warranty was still in effect(the last day) so I returned it got it exchanged. Was working pretty fine but a year after the SAME THING HAPPENED!!

My warranty is expired now but how can it have the same problem? Obviously a shoddy product. Dissapointed...

I'm a console and handheld collector, so when I saw it cheap, I just couldn't pass it up.
I play it quite a bit now, but my SP2 gets the most use.

I'm sad to say that I've had some problems with the left shoulder button on my first Micro after a year of heavy play and sitting every day in my jeans pocket.  You have to press it in a certain way to make it register, if that makes sense. 

It must be a flaw in the design.  What's really crazy is that the shoulder buttons were one the main criticisms of the Micro when it debuted. 

I still don't think it's shoddy, though.  The screen is really far superior to the SP screen even when they're both well-lit.  Also, having a game system (basically an SNES) be roughly the size of an NES controller is just amazing, IMO.

I know what you are talking about, I had that happen to my DS due to dust and dirt getting into the button. It would only register with hard presses. I noticed this starting to happen up to the point where the button practically didn't work. Once cleaned it worked fine. But this was not the case with the Micro. It didn't slowly start to fail like on the DS. It always worked fine until one day it just completely died. And trust me I thought what you did that depending on how I press it it would register so I fiddled with it. Nothing. That button just completely died. And now it happened again with my new Micro. Fazed out the Micro? I don't blame them.
