Starting Mala w/windows and LEDwiz plugin
« on: May 02, 2008, 11:50:24 am »
When I launch Mala from its own program icon, the LEDwiz plugin works fine.  However. . .   When I launch Mala from the Start menu, or when it autostarts, then the plugin fails.  It gives me a message complaining that it can't find plugins\ledwiz.cfg. . .   I'm sure it must be looking in the wrong directory somewhere, but I don't know what to do about it.  Obviously I want Mala to autostart.

Sounds like a "working directory" problem.  I would go to the folder where Mala resides, and right click the Mala icon.
Choose "Create Shortcut".  The new shortcut will appear in the Mala folder.  Copy this new shortcut to the startup folder (so it autostarts) and remove the old one from the startup folder.  Also copy the shortcut wherever else you want it such as the start menu.

Thanks much, that worked!    :applaud:

Turns out, it was also the trick I needed to get Typhoon 2001 to run from the start menu.

Sorry for my ignorance, it's just that I've been using a Mac for the last 10 years or so.

Thanks SGT

Also the latest version checks for the working directory anyway.
