Need your cabinet pictures for a book.
« on: May 02, 2008, 05:43:29 pm »
I am working on two books on the subject of PC arcade cabinets, controls and the such. This will just be a self published deal (you will be able to order them from lulu.com) and won't be anything like Saint's book at all. One will be basically a nice fluff happy photo type piece and the other one will be much more serious.

I am looking for people willing to give me permission to use pictures of their machines in my book. This won't pay money or anything (if it is anything like my last book I'll sell all of 20 copies), but it will put your machine in a book or two that you can show all your friends, and your name will appear in the books.

Check out my cab at http://dazz.genmaygamers.com.  My cab isn't the best cab, but if you see any images you want to use, go for it.

Machine looks good to me. Now could you please send me the highest resolution pictures that you can take of it. The more pictures the better. email them to paigeoliver@gmail.com with a note giving permission to use them. Be sure and add your real name so I can credit you.

Same basically goes for anyone else. Pretty much need the pictures straight off the digicam at the highest quality setting. The more photos of different parts of the machine the better.

Paige, it's my first cab but somehow it is looking surprisingly good, like, I ask myself how in the world I did this, haha.  I've been taking pix along the way and should have a completed pic in a little bit here.  You'd be more than welcome to use one/some of mine.

I always thought it would be great to do a 'how to'  DVD as well, maybe as a companion.  If you ever need help in that arena, here's my demo website:

Malenko... are you KIDDING me?  Your cab is sick!  Dude, seriously, check out where the cabs were when Saint wrote the Good Book... the 'art' has evolved 10 fold since then and yours is by far better than the examples in there.  Good job man.

Regardless of how good or bad you think your project is I can still use high res pictures. Not everything will make the shiny glossy picture book, but the other ones can still make the technical book.
