I found this gremlins prototype video over at atarigames.com . Does anybody know anything about this game?

I'm not sure, but the term "Press LEFT fire" makes me think Atari 7800

Pretty cool... I had the Atari computer version of this game. Graphics weren't as nice, but it was a fun top down shooter, kind of reminiscent of Robotron.
