gp-wizrx and steering wheel
« on: May 01, 2008, 12:42:16 am »
Can someone who's gotten the gp-wizrx working with a rotary steering wheel (in my case Road Blasters) post some pics of how you have the wiring attached ? Maybe also PM me so I can trouble shoot abit. I've been trying for a long time now, then I put it away, now I'm ready to try again.

I wish there was some util to test it rather than deal with mame and all it's FE's and settings. I'd love to figure out if it's a hardware or software problem.

So some pics pleeaase.

RoadBlasters wheels are optical devices. It is my understanding that the GP-WizRX is for *mechanical* rotary sticks, not optical ones.

You should interface the wheel using a GP-Wiz or another optical interface (Optipac, mouse hack etc.).

That is correct.  Mechanical rotaries only.

Not a GP-Wiz, rather an Opti-Wiz.  ;)

Ah, sorry my bad. I do have both, and I am using the Opti-wiz. Late night posting can be embarrasing.

Anyway, request for pics still relevant :)
