« on: April 27, 2008, 02:59:34 am »
is it possable to get a gun cabinet to work with mame like point blank or op wolf? would the guns be able to get hooked up to work with mame or will a pc light gun be required?
*also is there a easy way to fix out all  the diferent games like im building  a cab for vertical ones for horizontal ones for driving games so would like a list/program sorter or is there away in a front end to do this?

If you mean cabinets with arcade light guns, i don't know  ???...but if you mean cabinets like Op.Wolf, you could get the gun to work. >:D

Machine Guns like the ones in Op.Wolf have a mechanism just like analog joysticks, so they interact with whats on screen just like a joystick and not at all like a light gun.
At the moment I'm thinking of building an add-on to put in front of my cabinet with two of this baby's to play games like this.
I think an analog encoder ( like the ones at Ultimarc ) could work with this guns, why don't you ask Andy - andy@ultimarc.com

You can also get a light gun like LCD Topgun, as they work with any display, although setup is a little tricky and you have to be 5 to 10 feet away from the monitor for it to work. But in the end works great.
