The reason you are having trouble finding one is that nobody makes one. There is a 256 meg version, but ultimately if you are willing to pay that much for a video card, you should spend money on avoiding AGP.

yeah I found out they only make the X1950 pro 512MB in AGP verion so that is the model I am After now instead of the XT that is pci-e version only.
sapphire and HIS are the only one that made the 512MB version that I know of.
AGP is not dead yet with these type cards.
the only other card better then these are the XT & XTX series of these same cards and the new 8800 GTX's by Nvidia and they cost around the same so there's nothing wrong with these AGP's when compared to anything else out there and they can also do crossfire set-up.

AGP cannot do crossfire and the X1950 Pro cards are Directx 9 video cards whereas all new cards made are Directx 10. They are good cards, but AGP is dying out altogether.

That card is much better and would probably cost about the same if not less than an X1950 card.

Hi I did not see that card yet and will have to check into that.
I dont have anything that runs direct x10 and not sure if there is anything out that is directx10 yet but if so my single core pc probably would not cut it anyhow so I am not too concerned about that really.
I use soft15K and not sure if the 2600XT will even work or not with it but I know the X1950 pro will.
I will compare the 2 but dont see why the X1950 pro's are $120.00+ used and newegg still has the HIS version new for $289.99 without shipping if these 2600 XT's are $120.00 or less new.

Hi, I compared them and there really is no comaprison the X1950 pro crush's the 2600 XT hamds down.
the only thing the 2600XT hold over the X1950 is it can do directx10 but there is no power behind it.
the x1950 pro beat it by a long mile on any benchmark or video card compaison chart I could find the 2600XT was toward the bottom of the list where there X1950 pro was more toward the top and just under the nvidia 8800's like I was explaing toward the top of this post.
I will stick with the X1950 pro and continue to find one of them.
that's why there still expensive becuase you get what you pay for performance wise and that is what the 2600XT's lack.

I guess you are right on that one. I am out of the loop on ATI cards as I have used Nvidia for quite some time in my rigs. I found new X1950 Pro's at Tigerdirect for $189 if that helps at all. Sorry about the misinformation!
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2918625&CatId=935
***EDIT - The link I gave earlier for the other ATI card is supposed to be a 2900XT but the product information is all crazy. It calls it a 2900XT all through it, but shows a 2600XT in the pic and later talks about 2600XT in the specs. Maybe they didn't even make a 2900XT for AGP? Weird...

Hi I checked that link and those are only the 256MB version
I am looking for the HIS pro or sapphire pro version becuase they are the only models made with 512MB and actually the HIS pro 512MB revision #2 is the best of these two becuase it has turbo and the iceq stuff where it can overclock a tad better then the sapphire.
found one and no longer looking
