If you did not get more than that single board you do not have the jamma conversion kit that is being talked about.  The board shown is the PC end for a PGA conversion kit.   Here is the link to the manual. Another board connects to this PC board and it has the JAMMA connector.

You got the wrong piece of kit to connect a trackball.   Get an adapter from Ultimarc (OptiPac or MiniPac) or GGG (Optiwiz) to connect a trackball.

thanx,. for info,no wonder i got it for cheap price.it came with a usb lead and that was it, how easy is it to connect te trackball to a mouse hack? might just get a mouse and take it part, ive got 3 projects going although none is completed, lots of stuff to buy, ive a common game cabinet that is gonna be for vert games, the golden tee for horizontal, and ive a mini one ive built from scratch without plans and sofar so good, and hopefully ill get a driving machine for dedicated driving games but can only see outrun and chase hq that had break, accellerate and shift, so i think this is cab of choice

Mouse hacks are easy if you get the right mouse guts but it is a matter of luck.   Some Logitech mice have a different sensor array so they are not usable.   Sure it only costs a couple of bucks but if you want a versatile, professional interface you can get it for $10 to $15 from GGG.

The Optipac from Ultimarc is British but costs $39.00
