Those Mad Catz arcade controllers were clearanced at Best Buy so I grabbed a couple.  Very easy to hack.  Here is the wiring and planning stage.

The solder points on the Mad Catz controller were pretty easy.  I actually screwed up a MS one by lifting a trace, this one was a thousand times easier.  Plus if you screw it up the controller only cost like $10.

How are you attaching the top to the box after putting the vinyl on? And I didn't see a hole for the cord coming out, did you add that after your pictures? Thanks...

The box top is tight without any latch, but I plan on securing it better.  I have some velcro strips I was thinking of trying.  I'm not sure what you mean by vinyl, it's just painted MDF.   The cord is just hanging out the back for now, i have a grommet sleeve in my large control panel, I may do the same, still not sure.

Thanks. No idea why I thought you had vinyl on there, probably I was reading too many threads at once. ..

How strong is the large Stick  on the Controler you hacked? I really want a Flight stick for some Possible Flight sim type games and it appears one might be able to hack that stick into something just like you did (also had this idea), is that stick wired or wireless?

The stick I have on the mini control panel is out of a gutted MKII cab so it's plenty strong.  If you mean the stick from the original controller, it's pretty much crap.  I think the only thing this controller was good for is to hack the board personally.
