Steering wheel panel for trade.
« on: May 28, 2003, 06:43:51 am »
I recently got a Turbo control panel in a trade. I'll be darned if my Turbo didn't sell a few days later. So now I have no use for the thing.

It has a great 360 wheel on it, a shifter assembly (minus knob), and a few gauges. If you wanted to use it "as is" and have it look good you would need to replace a missing button, add a gauge and put a knob on the shifter. But I imagine you would just want the wheel for your own panel anyway.

Will trade that panel, along with an untested Turbo LED scoreboard, and an optical 3 position gas pedal.

Possible trade items.

Oscar spinner.

I-Pac or Keywhiz.

Any Kangaroo or Crystal Castles parts.

Any "Konami Classic" boardsets besides Time Pilot, Time Pilot '84 and Super Basketball.

Working 13" arcade monitor (would like to have a spare for my time pilot).

Good working 300+ mhz computer (I don't need any drives, modems, or network cards in it, but it would have to have audio and video).

May consider other items as well.

Hey bud I have a HP p2-333 machine I'd trade you for the Turbo CP if you're interested.  It's a complete working system: memory, hdd, video, sound, CDROM, floppy, etc.

For reference, it looks like the one in this auction (not my auction though) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2728581370&category=3745 except I spray painted the faceplate of mine black because I had it in a stereo cabinet to provide internet to the TV.

I also have a few other computer items, mostly a little newer than that, that I'd trade for any useful arcade stuff.  LMK Thanks!

I will do that. Lets work out the details in the thread. I prefer to work publically when it comes to any deal worth more than $10.

We can cross ship (that means we both send at the same time). When can you ship?

Darn, it does. But I prefer to do trades IN PUBLIC, because it helps to establish prices, values, and it keeps everyone honest.

That is a violation of UPS policy.  ::)

They may send someone after you. Look out for guys in brown trucks coming down your street!

USPS (US Postal Service!) there is a difference... It may be against thier policy too, but I agree with Paigeoliver's methods.

Ok. I received my computer today (posting this message from it).

It was packed extremely well.

It had more RAM than promised (128 instead of 64).

Peab0dy was nice enough to include a power cord.

I haven't actually opened up the computer yet, but it appears to have all the good stuff on actual cards, with nothing onboard (that is a plus).

The drive had been erased which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good because it forces me to do a fresh system install, and bad for the same reason.  ;)

I installed Windows 98 SE and EVERYTHING worked right the first time. I didn't have to configure anything (very rarely does that ever happen).

Overall I got more than I asked for, more than I was promised, and more than I expected. Thanks Peab0dy!

I've been following this thread with baited breath.  I can't wait to see what happens next.

Did paigeoliver really send the wheel?  Will Peab0dy be left on the vine?  Tune in next time to BYOAC for the exciting conclusion...!

Awesome. I just finished getting the computer set up for my cabinet.

Swapped the S3 Virge video card for a voodoo3 that I had collecting dust.

Installed Directx 8.0 Mame (I686) .60 and advancemenu.

Forgot to install snaps.  :-[

Now generating snaps manually  >:( (not that tough, I only have like 125 games installed).
