What Joys are these?
« on: April 14, 2008, 07:06:06 pm »
I'd like to replace them so I can get my Impress back up and running:  Also... who sells them?

They're Simitsu.  But you can replace them with Sanwa as well.... They both do one with the same plug fitting for wiring.

After taking a look at the mounting plate...  they look to be Seimitsu LS_40_01's.

Does anyone other than Lizard Lick sell these?

Btw, Depending on how those buttons are holding up you might want to replace those too.

They appear to be stock HORI buttons off of a Hori Real Arcade Pro and not actual Sanwa buttons
The Sanwa switches have the contacts side by side, not diagonal like those.

Do they mix and match mounting plates then?  Because all the pictures of the LS56 I can find looks different.

I can't vouch for that specific joystick, but different joysticks are known to change over time, and there are variants and so on.

Yeah, I went ahead and ordered the LS56's.  Regardless of what mounting plate it comes on, it looks like they connect to the mounting plate the same way, so I should be able to swap them myself.

Ah, da ki-tty. Yeah, I figured they were semitsu. I think mine work okay. I haven't tested them much. Tetsu96 has one of these and he swapped in Happ Comps. I think I'll keep the Semitsus.
