Ok everyone I think this is a fun idea, I am looking for youtube videos of folks showing off their gaming system using video snaps from emumovies with their front end.

I will be accepting submissions through May 10th 2008. All submissions will be posted in the news section and the winner's video will be posted on the homepage at emumovies.com

1st Place: ArcadeVGA Card (AGP) (ATI9250)
2nd Place: EmuMovies Complete DVD Collection w/lifetime FTP access
3rd Place: EmuMovies MAME DVD Collection

I'll film mine if someone wants to take my MaLa layout and replace the screenshot (snap) window with one for the emumovies... I have no idea how...

What are people using to record the computer output? I tried Fraps but it wouldnt snag the front end...

I think for MaLa you just place the video window over the screenshot window?

That makes sense but.... I have no idea how to do that! waveryder put my MaLa layout together... maybe I can ask him to "upgrade" it or something... I LOVE the idea of the preview movies and Circo is totally insane for doing all that work!! It's unbelievably awesome!

Thanks alot, been awhile since I used mala but it's just a simple trick in the layout editor.

As far as capturing the video, I have had great luck with my little sony digital camera in video mode. I have been meaning to try camtasia for Front End captures. I think it would work.

I can't necessarily vouch for the quality of this product, since I haven't technically used it for anything myself... $:-\$ I downloaded it once to check it out and don't remember too much about it. But it's free, so that fits the bill.

It's called priorities by bruddah... I have an ANALOG (tape) video camera I already don't use, why upgrade it to digital?

A webcam would work, do you have one of those. And honestly I don't know of any freeware video capture software that would work.

I figured there would be more interest also. I was looking forward to seeing the entries.

I noticed the ones posted are all by the same guy. On one of the videos I didn't even see emumovies in use, just snaps.

Did you submit it as a news item for the BYOAC main page?

Guys I just don't get it. My front end is up for a few seconds while I choose a game. When I am not playing I just leave the game in attract mode.

I would much rather see vids of how people built a cab... not too interested in a front end???

I leave my frontend (mamewah) running when not playing for a short while. I have it set to cycle through the attract mode videos as a screen saver.

Question in mala, how do u set it up so if displays a snap shot for the first few seconds and then changes to a movie??
