Hey, Ive got my cable. I tried to hook it all up but have a problem! I have no picture with my ArcdeVGA hooked up (the monitor stays on though and I have tinkered with the knobs at the front). this time i have connected my wires together (as traced back by my multimeter!) I also tried it with my VGA amplifier (from ultimarc) but the same. Sounds like perhaps an issue with my arcadeVGA??

What do you think?

Dunno how to turn up the volts! With the VGA amp I have connected the wires as they are labelled it in relation to the pins were on my original molex connectory. With my breakout cable I traced back each pin and looked at the ultimarc VGA diagram and marked down what wire was what. I then got my R, G, B wires and hooked them up as above, connected my horizontal and vertical sync together and the remaining wires I connected together and put in the GND.

Im 100% sure i have connected them right as with no connection on the monitor it switches off again after 2 secs. When it is connected to the ArcadeVGA it is fine. Plus using the amp makes it really simple as everything is labelled and I just put the R to R, G to G, B to B, GND to GND etc

screen volts

if you turn this a little clockwise and you get a white screen then either your wiring is wrong/video card is not outputting a video signal or worst case scenario you have a failure with ic1 on the monitor neck card

is it safe to turn whilst monitor is on. Incidentally should this work with the VGA amp?

hantarex polo do not need the ultimarc amp as they work on 1v to 5 v video signal, the ultimarc amp will not damage the polo
the screen volts must be turned up a little whilst powered, use a mirror to see the affect on screen

tetsu96 used a JPAC with one of his candys and he said the colors were way saturated due to the in-built video amp.

I have turned both knobs to full and the screen is white. I am sure my wiring is right as I have tested with the Multimeter. Im gonna test the card using a DVI cable through a normal monitor t see if there are any problems. ANy other ideas?

Cheers

If I do plug it into the VGA port to the PC monitor I get an out of range error! Suggesting the card is ok maybe?

As a test I have tried to hook my original Jamma back up to it and still no picture. Maybe my monitor is popped? Is there a way I can test my vga connector with a standard VGA card? Andy said I can send the card back for him to look at but im not sure the card is actually faulty!?

i think i've got it,i reckon you have a switchable dual sync polo2 chassis which is set to 25khz via the jumper plug
can you take some pics of the chassis near where the yoke plugs in

Im sure its a driver issue. Look at this thread http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=150228&page=0&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1

The photos are exactly the same as what I am experiencing. I have mailed Andy but no joy as yet. Anyone got an updated driver or advice on what to do?

Cheers
