And i'm still not done with the cabinet i'm building from scratch.

Looking damn good tho, and it's close. IPAC and Happ order should arrive today (fingers crossed).

will 22 gauge solid be the correct size wire? Is it OK to run all the common leads to a terminal block, or should I daisy chain all of them?

You can run all the common leads to a terminal block or daisy chain them. I prefer the daisy-chain method but some people prefer terminal block. Whatever pleases you.

22 guage wire is fine but many people who use solid wire end up regreting it. Stick to stranded wire. It's way less likely to break.

How do you make the connections to the micro switches? do you need to solder or can you use butt conecters?

Use quick connects.
They just crimp onto the end of the wire, fast & easy.
