does wingun work in mame?

i've had a search around but cant find any answer.

i've managed to get the crosshair tracking with it in mame plus .124, but have no luck getting it to see the button inputs

its a shame as i can get the tracking near enough spot on using it.


anything im missing?

Have you tried remapping? (tab, Input (this game), enter, button 1, enter, pull trigger)

(I don't have wingun, so I can't help you if it's a wingun problem.)

Personally I use smog's drivers, but what ^^^^^^ said is correct.

yup, tried.

mame doesnt seem to see the gun as a gun or a mouse.


i'm using smogs drivers the the moment. the tracking is off, but the buttons are fine

Alrighty, it's time for me to start screwing around with my guns...  I have 2 Guncon2 guns that I've had for a while on my Ps2.  I have read that I can get these working on my cabinet for MAME.  The only driver(s) I have seen is the Wingun and Smog's driver.  However it appears that Smog's hasn't been updated in several years.  Is there a newer version of this driver?

I am using a normal flat screen CRT Tele as my monitor hooked up via S-Video to a EVGA Geforce 7800GT.  What is the best way to hook up the guns to the television?  Simply hook up the RCA from the gun to the RCA input on the adapter to the Yellow input and still use the SVideo connection to the TV?

I have read the Wiki and checked out the GunCon2 PC Driver page, but it is pretty out dated.

My 6 year old son LOVES gun games and has been dying for me to get some up and running on the cabinet...  I would greatly appreciate any information that anyone can provide.
