WTB Arcade Monitor/PC Monitor in Colorado
« on: March 31, 2008, 09:21:13 am »
Hey all just want to put out the feelers for a monitor that would look good in a Ultimate Arcade II cab. I am thinking that a 21 or better would fit and I am not a purist because this is for a mame cab and I dont have to have the arcade monitor as much as just any old screen.  Open to about anything just trying to avoid the 100+ shipping with certain places.
Video Games Currently owned and running: Mania Challenge, X-Men (Children of the Atom), A.P.B.

In the works Mame Trek (Scratch Built), Donkey Kong Jr. (Just got a PCB for)

I've got a Dotronix DSV25C sitting in the garage with your name on it - $25.  Colorado Springs.

I was able to get 23 various interlaced resolutions from 424x272 to 800x288 using powerstrip and an nvidea card.  It looks like this one is spoken for though.

Swatwolf I think you went the right way.

I have the Ultimate Arcade II and I temporarily put a 21" Dell Trinitron monitor in it.  I took it from my home 'office' setup... I have a 26" LCD HDTV as my primary monitor, and then two black Dell 21" Trinitrons for my other systems... so I just snagged one of the Dells for now.

As big as these guys look upstairs (they make my 17" Nokia look tiny by comparison), they look SMALL in this cab.  Once you get a bezel in place the monitor looks too small for the cab.

I'm going to move up to a 27" display which I think is perfect for this particular cabinet.  25" like you are using is also ideal in my opinion... anything smaller and it looks a bit odd to me.

I am soooo jealious right now ;)
