Well the metric pound is more an informal term, but (at least in Europe) people use it to mean 500 gram.

Oddly enough I think most latin-derived languages apply sex to nouns - English is the exception, not the rule (can someone with more language experience than I confirm this?)

In French you have only Male or Female.

In german you have Male , Female and neutral...

And sometimes what is Male in French,  is Female in German ...

Actually in english nouns do have a gender too don't they?  It's not used often, but when you refer to an object you will use "she", "he" or "it" depending on the gender. For instance the bow of a ship would be "her bow" a dogs legs would be "it's legs".

Actually in the 2003 survey the french ranked high on frequency, but below average on quality and below average on time spent

Ill start my own measuring system based off the size of my own foot, it worked for King Henry, and me and my post apocalyptic mutant brethren will impose our system on the rest of the worldly survivors through extreme ridicule for lesser systems like the metric system should have done oh so long ago.

If any of you come to America and have a hankering for a burger, do yourself a favor and dont go to any chain, any local burger joint will outdo those easily.  Yes even In and Out, though feel free to get a Tshirt.

Fast food burgers are like fast food coffee, sure it works to get you a fix, but overall you are just cheating yourself on the experience.
