How much do they normally go for?  At a North American retailer I mean.

Shipping seems a little steep (around 20 bucks)

If i recall correctly I paid about $60 shipped from the same source.  That was back when it was brand new.

Damn... I wish I saw this deal sooner.

It looks like they are back to $34.99 which appears to be their normal price and the same price as ordering them directly from EMS Productions (the manufacturers I think?).  Although, EMS charges $35 shipping for one gun or $48 for two.

If anybody has any of these guys in the states the want to sell with cheaper shipping please let me know :)

I paid around $60 for mine too (that included shipping).

I haven't gone back to test it out again with Smog's drivers, but personally... unless Smog's drivers do something pretty fantastic, I'm not too impressed so far.  The gun looks super cool, but that's about it.

Some people have absolutely no problems with them, others can't get them to work to save their life, and I've been reading where others finally get it to work and then they just quit working.  They just seem like beta stage guns to me and not a fully developed product.  The concept is cool, the execution is a bit flawed.

I really wanted to like this gun, and maybe I still will.  Even if I get it working, I am a bit disconcerted about how far back you have to stand.  I have the Guncon 3 and Time Crisis 4 and that gun is everything the LCD Topgun should have been right out of the box.  For example, just plug in the two small LEDs, plug the gun in... two shot calibration and start playing.  Distance is also impressive.  Where I would have to stand back 5-6 feet with the Topgun, the Guncon 3 will work from 2.5 to 7.5 feet with no problem.  The only downside... it only works with the PS3.

If you can get one for $27 including shipping, I'd say go for it.  You might be one of the lucky ones and be able to get it to work right away.  If not, I'm sure eventually there will be fool proof drivers for it as well as new and better LEDs and you can wait for them.  If you spent $60 like me, then you might be a little miffed that it's quirky at best, at least with the company provided drivers.
