FS: MAME Arcade Controller willl trade for PS3 [Michigan]
« on: March 26, 2008, 04:22:05 pm »
Similar to an arcade cabinet, but without the monitor.

This can be hooked to a computer to display on a monitor, a big screen TV (like I've done in my living room), or you can open a laptop so it is flat and slide it into the back of the unit.

It connects to a PC via a single USB cable. I have the controller configuration files optimized for MAME , so the unit is ready to play. Works with other games as well, but may require additional configuration.

Authentic HAPP arcade controllers, buttons and trackball. Spinner (from Oscar controls). Functional coin door takes quarters, or press the reject button to register a coin being inserted. They even light up. There are also rugged cup holders installed on either side. Also have Oscar 4-way restrictor plates for the left controller.  The controller interface consists of an Ipac4 and two Oscar optical trackball hacks.

There are amplified speakers built into the system. The console works great, only the pinball controls/plunger are not hooked up, but I will include the extra parts to get them functioning.

Asking $400

Thanks.

For plans, I just have a Visio template for the control panel. The rest is pretty much just measurements for the individual pieces that make up the base and enclosure.

How sturdy is it when being played?

It's pretty sturdy for most games. I wouldn't recommend using the laptop in the back feature with Street Fighter though, even with some squishy foam in there, it'll get banged around  ;D

It rocks a little when people get a bit too into a game, but even that can be fixed by attaching something like a 2'x2' MDF or particle board to the base.

Oh, that would look great infront of my projector.

I dont think I could buy it right now...  But if you got the cash for it, could you hold it for a month while scheduling a pickup?  (I'm in southern ohio, but go up that way once every other month)

Holding it shouldn't be a problem. Would you mail a check?

wife would be the problem.   I'm going to show her tonight.

If I got her approval, then the rest of the arrangements can be made pretty easy.

Still available.  I would also consider trading for a PS3 w/ wireless controllers.
