Booting into MAME32
« on: March 26, 2008, 01:13:22 pm »

Okay.  I'm using Windows2000 on my mame machine, and I've got a shortcut for MAME32 in my startup folder, and when I boot my machine up, sure enough, it starts up MAME32...the only problem is that the mame3 window isn't "selected"...the window's title bar is gray, not blue, in other words.  So I can't really navigate MAME32 until I "select" the window by clicking on it.

Any idea how to alleviate this problem (and please, don't say "Don't use MAME32.")

  • Yeah, owning a MAME cab only leads to owning real ones. MAME just isn't good enough. It's a gateway drug.

Right click on the shortcut and go to properties and set it to maximize. That might do the trick. Also, if you have an nvidia card, set it to be "always on top"
