How can I stop MAME from showing a DOS window before starting a game in MaLa?

When I start a MAME game in MaLa I see a DOS window appear in the center of my screen for about a second and then it disappears and the game starts (and is displayed full-screen).

How can I hide this DOS window that is appearing?

I don't have MaLa in front of me, but in the options box, there is an option on one of the tabs to the effect of 'Show progress window' or something. Deselect that and you are good to go. It took me a while to stumble across that as well.

There are three radio buttons on the MAME tab.  They control the window options - normal, minimized  or hidden.

Choose hidden.

Thanks for the help!

I'll try the [Hidden] setting for the Window State but I can't find the [Show Progress Window] option...
